The rules and conditions that apply when you use our services.

1. Agreement to Terms
By accessing or using the services of AskCab ("AskCab", "we", "us", "our") — including our website at askcabs.co.uk, our taxi booking service, vehicle hire, and advertising platform — you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our services.
2. Our Services
AskCab provides the following services:
- Taxi services: Local taxi journeys, airport transfers, long-distance travel, corporate travel, school runs, and event transport across Kent and beyond.
- Vehicle hire: Daily, weekly, and monthly car rental from our fleet.
- Taxi advertising: Interior and exterior advertising space on our vehicles for businesses.
3. Bookings
Making a Booking
Bookings can be made via our website, WhatsApp, phone, or in person. All bookings are subject to driver and vehicle availability. A booking is only confirmed once you receive confirmation from us.
Booking Information
You must provide accurate pickup and destination addresses, contact details, and travel time. AskCab is not responsible for delays caused by incorrect information.
4. Pricing and Payment
- Quoted prices are valid at the time of booking and based on the information provided.
- Additional charges may apply for waiting time, extra stops, changes to the route, or unforeseen circumstances such as toll roads.
- We accept payment by card, cash, and bank transfer. Card payments may be subject to a small processing fee for some services.
- For corporate accounts, payment terms are agreed in advance.
5. Cancellations and Refunds
Standard Bookings
- Cancellations made more than 1 hour before the pickup time: no charge.
- Cancellations made within 1 hour of pickup: 50% of the fare may be charged.
- No-shows or cancellations after the driver arrives: full fare may be charged.
Airport Transfers
For airport transfers, we recommend cancelling at least 24 hours in advance. Flight delays are tracked automatically and we will wait at no extra cost (up to a reasonable period).
6. Passenger Conduct
To ensure a safe and pleasant journey for everyone, passengers must:
- Wear seatbelts at all times
- Refrain from smoking, vaping, or consuming alcohol in the vehicle
- Treat drivers with respect at all times
- Not damage or tamper with the vehicle
- Be ready at the pickup time and location
Drivers reserve the right to refuse or end a journey if passengers behave inappropriately. Cleaning fees of up to £100 may be charged for any soiling caused by passengers.
7. Lost Property
We are not responsible for items left in our vehicles, but we will make every reasonable effort to return lost property. A small handling fee may apply for returning items.
8. Vehicle Hire Terms
For rent-a-car services, additional terms apply:
- Hirers must be aged 21 or over and hold a full UK driving licence for at least 2 years.
- A security deposit is required and refunded after the vehicle is returned in its original condition.
- The hirer is responsible for any damage, fines, or tolls incurred during the hire period.
- The vehicle must be returned with the same level of fuel/charge as at collection.
- Smoking and pets are not permitted in rental vehicles.
9. Advertising Services
Taxi advertising campaigns are subject to a separate written agreement specifying duration, format, design approval, installation, and payment terms. We reserve the right to refuse advertising that is unlawful, offensive, or inconsistent with our brand values.
10. Liability
AskCab carries full public liability and motor insurance as required by UK law. Our liability is limited to the cost of the service provided, except where required otherwise by law. We are not liable for indirect losses such as missed flights, missed appointments, or loss of earnings except where caused by our negligence.
11. Force Majeure
We are not liable for failures or delays caused by events outside our reasonable control, including but not limited to: severe weather, road closures, accidents, strikes, pandemic restrictions, or acts of government.
12. Privacy
Our use of your personal information is governed by our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
13. Intellectual Property
All content on the AskCab website — including text, graphics, logos, images, and software — is the property of AskCab and is protected by copyright and trademark law. You may not reproduce, distribute, or use any content without our prior written consent.
14. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Changes take effect when posted on this page. Continued use of our services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
15. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
